Responsibilities:
- Designing, programming and testing software solutions for PLC systems;
- Developing control software according to IEC 61131 for our machines and lines;
- Developing new machine functions and maintaining existing software;
- Creating and designing user interfaces;
- Using and further developing existing software tools and infrastructure;
- Taking part in the development and further evolution of all TVI products;
- Preparing documentation and technical reports for software projects;
- Building integrated automation and control systems;
- Developing software algorithms to optimize production processes.
Requirements and skills:
- Completed education in one of the following fields: automation technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering/information technology, technical computer science or similar studies;
- Knowledge of control programming according to IEC 61131-3 and Structured Text, preferably based on Beckhoff TwinCAT3 and the Codesys development system;
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP, etc.);
- Skills in working with engineering software tools and systems;
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming will be considered an advantage;
- Languages: English is mandatory and German is an advantage;
- Excellent teamwork skills and a reliable, structured way of working.
Nice to have:
- Experience in industrial automation;
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as C++, Python or Java;
- Experience with various brands and models of PLC equipment.
